Herzog to Begin Government Formation Consultations on Wednesday
President Isaac Herzog will begin meeting with representatives of the factions elected to the 26th Knesset on Wednesday, November 4, before choosing an MK to task with forming Israel's next government, the President's Residence announced.
Director General Eyal Shviki sent invitations to faction heads on Sunday, urging representatives to approach the talks ready to listen and consider ideas that could help avoid another election.
The consultations will be broadcast live at Herzog's instruction. Faction leaders will also be able to address reporters after their meetings, with a full consultation schedule to be released separately.
