The Contship Jet, a cargo ship chartered by Israel's ZIM shipping company, sank overnight after being struck by three maritime drones off Bulgaria's coast. The Liberian-flagged vessel was carrying 421 containers from Haifa to Constanta, Romania.
All 18 crew members were rescued and taken to the Bulgarian port of Varna for medical checks. Bulgarian authorities confirmed the sinking on Thursday. It was not immediately clear who carried out the attack.
