Israeli mother and daughter Mali and Liel Yahalomi have reportedly been arrested in Namibia on suspicion of possessing forged passports, months after their disappearance from Europe triggered an international search.
Israel Police has been informed of the arrest. The investigation is currently being handled by Namibian authorities, though Israeli officials reportedly assess that Israel Police will be invited to participate in the investigation.
The pair were previously located in Argentina in August after deliberately cutting off contact and traveling through several countries. At the time, authorities said there was no suspicion of terrorism or a criminal offense connected to their disappearance.
