El Al has canceled Friday's planned rescue flights from Dubai after the UAE withdrew approval for Israeli carriers to land in the country. The move came after Israeli officials had initially said the flights were only delayed and would still go ahead.
Channel 12 reports that hours of discussions between senior Israeli and Emirati officials failed to produce the necessary landing approvals. El Al says flights planned for next week remain scheduled, but are already sold out.
