A flydubai flight traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv landed at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia a short while ago after issuing emergency signals during the flight.
According to Israeli security sources, the incident appears to have stemmed from an altercation on board, which reportedly prompted the aircraft to transmit the 7500 "unlawful interference" code associated with a possible hijacking situation.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the confrontation may have involved the pilots themselves, with one account claiming a serious dispute broke out in the cockpit and led to the emergency alert being activated.
Authorities are reportedly examining whether one pilot attempted to take control of the aircraft while the other resisted. At this stage, however, there is no confirmation that an actual hijacking attempt took place, and the circumstances behind the incident remain unclear.
