YOM KIPPUR NEWS ROUNDUP: SECURITY

• Duvdevan troops arrested two suspects in Qabatiya, near Jenin, during Yom Kippur. According to the IDF, the two were suspected of planning an attack in the immediate future.
• Alerts were activated in the Malkia area of northern Israel during the afternoon. The IDF later said they were triggered by a false identification.
ISRAEL
• Magen David Adom says its teams provided medical treatment to 3,322 people across Israel during Yom Kippur. Two people were killed in road accidents, while others were seriously or moderately injured in separate incidents involving vehicles, bicycles, scooters and similar forms of transport.
• The funeral of Netanel Shukrun, who was killed in the shooting attack near Neve Tzuf, is scheduled for 11:00 p.m. tonight.
INTERNATIONAL
• A police officer was seriously wounded in an exchange of fire with an armed suspect outside a synagogue in Belleville, Ontario, during Yom Kippur. The suspect was also shot and taken into custody. No worshippers were reported injured, and authorities are investigating the circumstances.
REGIONAL
• A spokesperson for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Iran has additional weapons and targets that have not yet been used or struck, warning they could be employed in the event of another attack on Iran.
• The New York Times reports that US President Donald Trump canceled planned strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen shortly before they were expected to take place.
