Two ballistic missiles detected over the United Arab Emirates this evening originated from Iran

Two ballistic missiles detected over the United Arab Emirates this evening originated from Iran, targeted maritime navigation and fell into the sea, the Emirati Ministry of Defence said, citing its assessments.
The Ministry said it "affirms its readiness to respond to any threats and to resolutely counter any attempts to undermine the security of the country or the safety of maritime navigation in the region." It urged the public to take all information from official authorities in the country and to avoid rumors and misinformation.
The Interior Ministry sent an alert to phones across the country earlier this evening warning of potential missile threats and instructing residents to seek shelter in the nearest secure building, then lifted it a short time later and said the situation was safe, as we reported earlier.
Iran has not commented. The Ministry of Defence reported no damage or injuries and did not say whether either missile was intercepted.
