German airline Condor has officially resumed flights to Israel, marking a historic return to the route that launched the airline nearly 70 years ago.
Condor's very first flight ever, on March 29, 1956, was a pilgrimage flight from Frankfurt to the Holy Land, making today's service a symbolic return to the airline's roots. It is the first time Condor has operated scheduled flights to Israel since the 1950s.
The airline is now operating daily nonstop flights between Frankfurt and Tel Aviv with an Airbus A320, offering convenient onward connections across Europe and North America via its Frankfurt hub. Condor says the route is especially meaningful as it celebrates its 70th anniversary, describing Tel Aviv as a destination with deep historical significance to the carrier.
