"We're going to be hitting them very hard. Because it's our turn to hit them," US President Donald Trump said after Iran's overnight missile attack targeting US forces in Jordan, adding that Tehran "knows it's coming" and is asking Washington not to strike.
Trump said all five Iranian missiles fired toward US assets in Jordan were intercepted. He also confirmed he had been briefed on the reported drone strike targeting tankers off Egypt's coast, while leaving the door open to diplomacy, saying, "We'll see if we get there with an agreement at some point" with Iran.
