President Donald Trump says the U.S. will respond forcefully after Iran's surprise missile attack targeting American forces, telling Fox News, "We're going to beat the f\\ing sht out of them," adding, "We'll be hitting them hard."
Trump also said the overnight U.S. strikes on Iran-backed militias in Iraq were coordinated with the Iraqi government. Despite the escalation, he indicated the door remains open for diplomacy, saying the U.S. will "let them keep talking" regarding the possibility of future negotiations with Iran.
