Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concluded a roughly 90-minute meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, where the two leaders, along with senior officials, discussed Iran. According to the White House, the talks were "positive and productive." The meeting included Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and other senior officials.
Following the meeting, a senior Israeli official told Channel 12 that Israel believes it has entered a "critical period," adding that Trump is expected to decide soon on his next course of action. The official said Netanyahu presented Israel's intelligence assessment on Iran and argued that there is "no choice" but to carry out another round of major strikes targeting nuclear facilities, rebuilt military capabilities and sites that were not previously hit. According to the official, Israel believes such operations could also undermine the stability of the Iranian regime.
