Austrian Airlines and ITA Airways have extended the suspension of flights to Israel until at least midweek after facing staffing shortages, with Channel 12 reporting that many pilots and cabin crew were unwilling to operate flights to the country.
Ben Gurion Airport continues to operate as usual, with airport officials stressing the decision was made solely by the airlines. Israeli officials are also working to prevent further foreign airlines from suspending service amid ongoing regional tensions.
