A rare direct military operation by Gulf states against Iran reportedly took place earlier this month, with The Wall Street Journal reporting that Bahrain and Kuwait secretly carried out airstrikes on Iranian drone and missile storage sites.
The report adds that the United Arab Emirates supported the operation by providing intelligence and assisting with defensive measures.
