Sirens are sounding in Bahrain moments ago as the country's air defenses engage an incoming Iranian missile and drone attack, Bahrain's Interior Ministry said. Residents have been told to head to the nearest shelter and remain there, and authorities said explosions being heard are air defenses intercepting the attack. It is the latest in a series of alerts in Bahrain today, the fifth according to the Interior Ministry, after earlier strikes the ministry said hit drone maintenance and repair sheds.
Iranian forces are separately carrying out ongoing attacks on Erbil in northern Iraq, BNN has learned.
