Iran says it launched a series of missile strikes against US military targets across the Gulf, including Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, where it claims surface-to-surface missiles struck American HIMARS rocket systems. State media says the attack was intended to weaken US offensive and defensive capabilities, while President Masoud Pezeshkian described the conflict as having escalated into a "full-scale war."
Iran's Revolutionary Guards also claim to have struck US military assets in Bahrain, including radar installations, air defense systems in Muharraq, and a Patriot battery in Riffa during what they describe as a coordinated missile and drone assault. The Guards further claim they targeted infrastructure belonging to Amazon in Bahrain, though Bahraini authorities have not confirmed that allegation. Bahrain's military says its air defenses intercepted and destroyed multiple Iranian aerial attacks.
Jordan says it intercepted three Iranian ballistic missiles and earlier shot down five drones headed toward the kingdom, adding that none of the attacks caused casualties or damage. The Jordanian military says all interceptions were carried out successfully under its defensive procedures as Iran continues launching attacks toward Jordan amid the ongoing confrontation with the United States.
Meanwhile, Iran's Revolutionary Guards claim two oil tankers caught fire after explosions while attempting to pass through the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz, warning the vital waterway will remain closed as long as US military operations continue in the region. Separately, Kuwait says several electricity generation and water desalination facilities were hit for a fourth consecutive day, sparking fires at multiple sites after what it describes as continued Iranian attacks.
