Authorities are investigating after a tanker reportedly broadcast over VHF Channel 16 that it had been hit by an unidentified projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) says the incident was reported approximately 8 nautical miles northeast of Limah, Oman, following multiple reports received by the agency.
