BREAKING: The US military says it has launched a new wave of airstrikes against Iran, with US Central Command saying the operation began at 6 p.m. ET under the direction of the commander in chief.
CENTCOM says the strikes are designed to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and to "swiftly punish" Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces following last night's attacks on American service members in Jordan.
