The US Central Command says overnight strikes destroyed a surveillance tower at Iran's Shahid Kalantari Port

The US Central Command says overnight strikes destroyed a surveillance tower at Iran's Shahid Kalantari Port in Chabahar, calling it part of a maritime surveillance network used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
According to CENTCOM, the tower was used "for decades" by the IRGC "to track and target commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz." It adds that destroying the facility "directly degrades IRGC's ability to coordinate attacks on innocent civilian crew members" and helps protect freedom of navigation, while the ongoing US naval blockade remains in effect for vessels attempting to reach Iranian ports.
