US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth briefed Defense Minister Israel Katz overnight on the American military's operations in Iran, while the two agreed to continue close US-Israeli cooperation in light of potential future developments, Katz's office says.
During the call, Katz also updated Hegseth on Israel's military activities in Syria, Lebanon and Gaza, according to his office. "We have never asked the United States to act on our behalf along our borders," Katz says, adding, "We are committed to defending the citizens of Israel against every threat, and that is what we intend to do."
