US Vice President JD Vance claimed that Jeffrey Epstein had ties to senior figures in both American and Israeli intelligence, saying the convicted sex offender "clearly had connections to the highest levels of American intelligence" and "the highest levels of Israeli intelligence." Vance also pointed to Epstein's relationship with former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak, arguing he appeared connected to "elements of the Israeli deep state that were left of center," while noting Epstein's American connections spanned both Republicans and Democrats.

On Iran, Vance insisted the overall direction of negotiations remains positive despite the fighting, claiming there is a divide between Iranian "pragmatists" seeking continued talks and hardliners who "freaked out" after the memorandum of understanding and began targeting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. "We're using economic leverage points, we're using carrots and sticks," Vance said, adding that while "they're shooting right now," efforts are underway to move the sides "on a better trajectory." He also claimed Iran's nuclear program "is still destroyed," said more oil is now moving through Hormuz than during the war, and criticized US conservatives who want to "bomb Iran into oblivion."

Vance also accused elements within the Israeli government of backing what he described as a "very discreet, extremely well-funded campaign" to derail the Trump administration's diplomacy with Iran. Citing a recent _Time_ magazine report, he alleged that people funded through a network linked to the Israeli government had attacked him over the negotiations. While acknowledging that "foreign governments try to influence the United States all the time," Vance said the problem is when that influence affects American leaders' judgment. "Go to hell. I'm going to do what I have to do for the American people. I represent Americans first," he said, adding that "some people within (the Israeli) system... are manipulating and trying to change American public opinion to keep the war going on indefinitely."
