Overnight, the US military says it completed another five-hour wave of strikes across Iran, targeting military sites in Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa and Bandar Abbas. CENTCOM says the operation struck coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, and other maritime capabilities to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping, adding that US forces remain "vigilant, lethal, and ready."
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it responded by launching ballistic missiles at a US air base in Jordan and carrying out missile and drone strikes against targets in Bahrain, claiming to have hit US military infrastructure. Jordan says it intercepted four Iranian missiles that entered its airspace, warning that any violation of its sovereignty will be met with decisive force. Bahrain also sounded air raid sirens for the third time today, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The IRGC also claims responsibility for striking two UAE oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, accusing the vessels of ignoring warnings and using an unauthorized route. The UAE says the tankers were hit by Iranian cruise missiles in Omani waters, killing one Indian crew member and wounding eight others. Fires aboard both vessels were brought under control, and Abu Dhabi condemned the attack as a serious violation of international law.
