The US military says it carried out another overnight wave of strikes across Iran
By Sammy Tisser,
The US military says it carried out another overnight wave of strikes across Iran, targeting dozens of military sites. According to US Central Command, the operation struck air defense systems, coastal radar installations, missile and drone assets, and small naval vessels using fighter jets, warships, and attack drones. Iranian state media says one person was killed and four others were wounded in Khuzestan province during the strikes.
Iran responded by launching attacks across the Gulf, triggering missile sirens multiple times in Bahrain as the kingdom's air defenses engaged incoming threats. Kuwait also said it was intercepting hostile targets, while Jordan's military reported shooting down four Iranian missiles that entered its airspace, adding there were no casualties or damage.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed responsibility for attacks on US-linked military sites in Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, including Prince Hassan Air Base, a drone command center in Bahrain, and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. The Guards also claimed they targeted US facilities in Juffair and destroyed radar systems in Oman, though those claims have not been independently verified.
