The explosions on Iran's Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz were caused by projectiles striking the island, the governor of Qeshm said, updating earlier reports of blasts and rising smoke, as we reported earlier. Hossein Amir Teymouri told the Iranian state news agency IRNA that 10 to 11 projectiles had hit the island.
