US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reacted to the latest US strikes on Iran, launched after the Revolutionary Guards attacked a commercial ship in the Strait of Hormuz. "Iran made a poor choice. Now they pay," Hegseth wrote on X.
Meanwhile, the crew of the damaged vessel abandoned ship in a lifeboat off the coast of Oman, according to UKMTO. The US blamed Iran for the attack, while Tehran claimed it stopped the ship after it ignored repeated orders to use an "approved" shipping route.
