U.S. Central Command confirms that American forces have begun conducting additional strikes against Iran aimed at further degrading Tehran's ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. says the operation is in response to Iran's recent attacks on commercial shipping and civilian crews transiting the strategic waterway.
