US Central Command has confirmed that US forces carried out a new round of strikes on Iranian military targets after Iran allegedly violated the ceasefire by attacking a commercial oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz with a drone.
According to CENTCOM, the operation targeted Iranian missile and drone storage facilities, coastal radar sites, surveillance infrastructure, communications systems, air defense positions, and minelaying capabilities. The command said Iran had been "given a chance to honor the ceasefire agreement but elected not to," adding that US forces remain "vigilant, lethal, and ready." Fox News, citing a US defense official, reports the operation has concluded.
Posting on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump wrote: "United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN! It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!"
