On Wednesday, the IDF said it carried out overnight strikes on four rocket launchers across the Gaza Strip that had been established by terror groups after the ceasefire took effect. According to the military, the launch sites had been prepared for attacks on Israeli territory and IDF troops, posing an immediate threat.
The military also announced that an airstrike earlier this week killed Hamas operative Akram Abu Madi, who participated in the October 7, 2023, massacre and had recently been working to rebuild the terror group's military capabilities and advance attacks against Israeli civilians and troops. The strike was carried out on Sunday in southern Gaza, and the IDF released a photo showing Abu Madi during the October 7 attack.
Separately, the Defense Ministry announced that civilian contractor Raad Abu al-Qi'an, from Hura, was killed in an operational accident during demolition work in the Gaza Strip after a structure collapsed on the heavy machinery he was operating. May his memory be a blessing. The ministry said his family has been notified and expressed its condolences.
