Iran assured Hezbollah it would not sign a final nuclear agreement with the United States unless Israel withdraws from southern Lebanon, the group's public relations office told Reuters. Hezbollah acknowledged that the memorandum of understanding reached between Washington and Tehran does not itself provide for an Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon, but said Iran had guaranteed that a withdrawal would be one of its demands in the future negotiations. "There will be no nuclear deal between Iran and the United States unless the Israelis withdraw," the group said. Hezbollah issued no formal statement on the matter beyond the comments to Reuters.
