President Donald Trump said he told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "what the fuck are you doing" over Israel's strike in Beirut, in an interview with Channel 12, and said he was very displeased with the attack. "Why did Bibi do this attack? Hezbollah fired and hit in the middle of nowhere. Nobody was hurt. And then he has to do this fucking attack, in Beirut. That angered me very much," Trump said. He said he had told Netanyahu that he had "no fucking judgment."
Trump said the strike came an hour before the United States and Iran were due to sign their agreement and delayed it. "We were supposed to sign the agreement this morning and the Israeli strike in Beirut delayed it," he said, adding that he believed the signing would still take place later today. Trump said the agreement was good for Israel because it would ensure Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon, allow inspections of suspected sites in Iran on 24 hours' notice, and eliminate Iran's enriched uranium stockpile.
