A senior U.S. administration official described to AFP the emerging agreement with Iran as a performance-based deal, saying "This is what they have agreed to," according to journalist Danny Kemp. The official said Iran's nuclear material would be destroyed and removed, its nuclear program would be dismantled, and that none of Iran's money would be released until it performs. The official said the Strait of Hormuz would be open and that Iran would end its funding of armed proxy groups.
