The U.S. Air Force has expanded its presence at Ben Gurion Airport, bringing in additional aerial refueling tankers beyond those stationed there since the start of the war, in a buildup now large enough to add air traffic and delay some civilian flights, BNN has learned. The reinforcement comes as American and Iranian forces continue to exchange fire, a day after U.S. Central Command confirmed a second wave of strikes on Iranian military targets and as Iran says it is keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed. Aerial refueling tankers are a central enabler of sustained long-range air operations, and their movement is closely watched as an indicator of preparations for extended strikes.
