Iran said the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until further notice, citing what it called the tensions caused by aggressive American forces, in a statement attributed to its Gulf Waterway Management Authority. Iran has effectively blocked most shipping through the strait since the start of its war with the United States and Israel in February.
