Overnight, U.S. military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait came under Iranian drone and missile attack, according to U.S., Jordanian, and Kuwaiti officials. A U.S. official said at least four ballistic missiles and several drones were fired at the bases and that nearly all were intercepted. Jordan said it intercepted five missiles, and Kuwait said its air defenses were engaging hostile aerial targets.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they carried out the attacks in response to the U.S. strikes on southern Iran. The Guards said they had struck the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain with drones and targeted F-35 hangars and a command and control center in Jordan, and warned of a more severe response if U.S. action continued.
