Fire and Rescue Commissioner Eyal Caspi ordered the service to raise its alert level in light of the security developments, the Fire and Rescue Service said. The commissioner placed the service on an emergency operating footing and full readiness for all scenarios following a situation assessment of its senior command that concluded a short time ago. The service said control centers had been reinforced nationwide and that all forces were reinforced and deployed across every region. Since the morning, dozens of calls had come in to the fire service's 102 emergency line to extract residents trapped in safe rooms, the service said, adding that the public should follow Home Front Command and security force instructions and dial 102 in any emergency.
