The Israeli air force struck a Hezbollah command center in the Dahieh district of southern Beirut earlier today, the IDF said, in what it described as a precise and targeted strike. The military said the site was used by Hezbollah to advance attacks against Israeli civilians and against IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon. The strike followed Hezbollah rocket fire toward Israeli communities earlier today, the IDF said, adding that Hezbollah continues to pursue attacks against Israeli civilians and Israeli forces. The military said it would not permit fire toward civilians and communities inside Israel and would continue acting to remove any threat to the country and its forces. The IDF said it had taken steps before the strike to reduce harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
