US President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social tonight that he had "a very productive call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu" and that "there will be no Troops going to Beirut." He added that through "highly placed Representatives" he also spoke with Hezbollah, and that "they agreed that all shooting will stop - That Israel will not attack them, and they will not attack Israel."
Trump followed up shortly after on Truth Social, posting that "Talks are continuing, at a rapid pace, with the Islamic Republic of Iran."
Netanyahu then responded, stating he told Trump that "if Hezbollah does not cease attacking our cities and citizens, Israel will strike terror targets in Beirut," calling it "our firm position" and adding that "the IDF will continue to operate as planned in southern Lebanon."
