US President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social moments ago that he is demanding the simultaneous signing of the Abraham Accords by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan as a condition tied to any final agreement with Iran, and floated the prospect of Iran itself joining the accords once the deal with Tehran is signed.
Trump stated that negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran "are proceeding nicely," adding, "It will only be a Great Deal for all or, no Deal at all. Back to the Battlefront and shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever before, and nobody wants that!" The president stated that during Saturday's discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim, Qatari Minister Ali al-Thawadi, Pakistani Field Marshal Asim Munir, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, he stated that "it should be mandatory that all of these Countries, at a minimum, simultaneously, sign onto the Abraham Accords."
The countries Trump named are Saudi Arabia, the UAE, which he noted is already a member, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain, also already a member. He stated, "It may be possible that one or two have a reason for not doing so, and that will be accepted, but most should be ready, willing, and able to make this Settlement with Iran a far more Historic Event than it would, otherwise, be." Trump stated the process should begin with the immediate signing by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with the others to follow, adding, "If they don't, they should not be part of this Deal in that it shows bad intention."
Trump stated that several of the leaders he spoke with told him they "would be honored, as soon as our Document is signed, to have the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of the Abraham Accords." He stated, "Wow, now that would be something special! This will be the most important Deal that any of these Great, but always in Conflict Countries, will ever sign. Nothing in the past, or in the future, will surpass it."
The president stated he is "mandatorily requesting that all Countries immediately sign the Abraham Accords, and that, if Iran signs its Agreement with me, as President of the United States of America, it would be an Honor to have them also be part of this unparalleled World Coalition." Trump stated he has asked his representatives to begin and complete the process of signing the listed countries into the accords.
