Israel is preparing for a renewed American military operation against Iran, with security officials stating that preparations for a new round of attacks have been completed. A source familiar with US planning told Israel Hayom that another American strike is "not a question of if, but when." The operation is expected to last several days and target sites US President Donald Trump had previously avoided striking. An Israeli source stated, "It seems to be getting closer and it seems very serious."
Channel 12 reported that Washington has informed Israel its refuelling aircraft will remain stationed at Ben Gurion Airport through the end of the year. The Israeli assessment, following the United States rejection of Tehran's updated proposal, is that Iran has delivered what officials are describing as a "humiliating" answer to Trump with which there is no way forward.
Trump told the New York Post he is "not open" to concessions toward Iran. Asked about his earlier suggestion that he might accept a 20-year moratorium on Iranian uranium enrichment, Trump stated, "I'm not open to anything right now." The president declined to elaborate, stating, "I can't really talk to you about it. Too many things are happening." Trump added, "I can tell you they want to make a deal more than ever, because they know we're, what's going to be happening soon."
