Iran has accused the United States of violating the ceasefire and pledged further retaliation, in a statement attributed to a spokesperson for the IRGC's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters. The spokesperson said U.S. forces had attacked Iranian oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz and launched airstrikes on civilian areas around Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island, allegedly with the support of regional allies.
Iran said its armed forces responded immediately, targeting U.S. military vessels in the eastern Strait of Hormuz and south of Chabahar and inflicting what it claimed was significant damage. The statement warned that Iran will continue to respond forcefully and without hesitation to any further attacks.
