Iranian outlet Mehr News reported scattered attacks tonight along the coastline of Iran's Hormozgan Province. Areas in the province were subjected to what the agency called hostile actions, including the rural district of Gachin north of Bandar Abbas. Explosions were also reported in the city of Bandar Khamir.
In the city of Sirik, several explosions were heard, but no impacts have been reported. Investigations indicated that the sounds in Sirik were related to the exchange of fire in the Strait of Hormuz and to warning shots fired by the Iranian Navy and IRGC. On Qeshm Island, scattered impacts were reported in the area of Bahman Port. Reports in the Iranian press suggest the strikes on Qeshm Island may have been carried out by UAE fighter jets, though this remains unconfirmed. Iran has warned that "if this turns out to be an Emirati operation, the gates of hell will open before them."
