The chairman of the United Arab Emirates' Defense Committee, Ali al-Nuaimi, told his Israeli counterpart Yuli Edelstein that the UAE intends to strike Iran in response to today's wave of missile and drone attacks, according to a publication. "We will hit Iran back," al-Nuaimi told Edelstein, adding that "we cannot let the fire pass in silence."
The reported message comes hours after multiple confirmed Iranian impacts on UAE territory, including strikes on the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone and the VTTI oil terminal, as well as Emirati media reports earlier in the day that Abu Dhabi is preparing what officials called "harsh revenge."
