A large fire has broken out at the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone in the United Arab Emirates following a drone strike originating from Iran, the Fujairah government confirmed. Civil Defense teams are at the scene and continuing efforts to bring the blaze under control. Authorities urged the public not to spread rumors and to obtain information only from official sources.
The UAE Ministry of Defense said its air defense systems are actively engaging with incoming missiles and drones from Iran, and that the sounds heard across the country are the result of ongoing interception operations. Seek shelter alerts have been issued across the UAE for the third time today and an additional alert in Abu Dhabi.
