The IDF Northern Command has issued instructions to residents of communities in the Upper Galilee ahead of a controlled detonation of a major Hezbollah tunnel in southern Lebanon. Residents of Misgav Am, Manara, Margaliot, and Metula have been instructed to enter their homes, open some windows, and stay away from large windows until the blast is complete. Residents of Kiryat Shmona and Kfar Giladi have been advised to open windows and keep away from large panes of glass.
The detonation is expected within the next few minutes. The IDF announced earlier that it would demolish a major Hezbollah site in southern Lebanon and warned that large explosions would be heard in northern Israel in the coming hours.
