The IDF has issued an urgent evacuation warning for residents of several towns in southern Lebanon north of the Israeli-held security zone, ahead of strikes against Hezbollah. The towns named in the warning are Mayfadoun, Shawkin, Yohmor, Arnoun, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Zawtar al-Gharbiya, and Kafr Tibnit.
In a statement, IDF Arabic-language spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee said that "in light of the Hezbollah terror organization's violation of the ceasefire agreement, the IDF is compelled to act against it with force." Residents were instructed to immediately evacuate their homes and move at least 1,000 meters outside the marked area, and warned that anyone in the vicinity of Hezbollah operatives, facilities, or weapons is endangering their life. The warning follows an earlier IDF evacuation order for the southern Lebanese town of Deir Aames and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon with force.
