An Israeli security official told Reuters that the IDF has no plans to withdraw forces from southern Lebanon during the ceasefire. Trump is presenting the agreement, at Israel's request, as a ceasefire for the purpose of achieving peace between the two countries and unrelated to the broader war with Iran.
Trump said he will invite Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Aoun to the White House for what he called the first meaningful talks between Israel and Lebanon since 1983. "Both sides want to see PEACE, and I believe that will happen, quickly," Trump said.
