Holocaust Remembrance Day began this evening across Israel

Holocaust Remembrance Day began this evening across Israel, as the country honors the memory of the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust.
At 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, a nationwide two-minute steady siren will sound, during which Israelis stop wherever they are and stand in silence. In the event of a rising and falling siren, the public is instructed to follow Home Front Command guidelines and move to a protected space.
This year's commemorations are taking place under heightened security conditions, with the official state ceremony at Yad Vashem broadcast in a pre-recorded format. In Jerusalem, the Old City walls are illuminated with Holocaust remembrance symbols and the words "Remember" and "Never Forget."
At the ceremony, President Isaac Herzog calls for unity, warning that "one spirit bound the generations, a spirit of heroism, of dedication, of determination." Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Europe is "afflicted by deep moral weakness" and that Israel "stands with the United States at the forefront of the free world," adding that recent actions "have dealt a crushing blow to the evil regime in Iran."
