Amid ongoing fighting with Hezbollah, the IDF Home Front Command has introduced new regional guidelines
By Sammy,
Amid ongoing fighting with Hezbollah, the IDF Home Front Command has introduced new regional guidelines across northern Israel, easing some restrictions while tightening others depending on location.
Near the Lebanon border, all educational activity is now completely halted, and gatherings are restricted to up to 50 people outdoors and 100 indoors. In the Upper Galilee, schools can operate only within protected spaces, with the same outdoor limit of 50 people and up to 200 allowed indoors. Meanwhile, in the Haifa Bay area, a partial easing is in effect: schools may open as long as there is sufficient time to reach shelter during an attack, and gatherings are permitted for up to 100 people outside and 400 indoors.
Previously, all three of these areas were under identical rules, allowing educational activity solely in bomb shelters and limiting gatherings to 50 outdoors and 200 indoors. No changes have been made to the rest of the country, the IDF says.
