The IDF has announced the elimination of Maher Qassem Hamdan, commander of the Lebanese Resistance Brigades in the Chebaa area of southern Lebanon, along with seven operatives who were fleeing with him toward Sidon. Hamdan was responsible for recruitment, weapons supply, and funding for the organization in the Chebaa sector. The Lebanese Resistance Brigades are funded by and directly linked to Hezbollah, with its operatives involved in attacks on IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
