Israel's High Court of Justice has reportedly determined that up to 100 individuals may pray at the Western Wall at any one time, following petitions calling for access to worship at the sites.
At the same time, the court issued a conditional order and set an urgent hearing for Thursday at 11:00 a.m., stating that earlier discussions with police and Home Front Command officials had not been fully concluded. The justices are now requiring authorities to clarify why no formal policy has been put in place for the holy sites that properly weighs security considerations alongside the right to freedom of religion and worship.
