The IDF announces that Sergeant Liran Ben Zion, 19, from Holon, a soldier in the 9th Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade, was killed in combat in southern Lebanon. An armored corps officer was severely wounded in the same incident and evacuated to hospital. His family has been notified.
